Handcrafted Australian Ceramics

Hi, I'm Amanda...
Hi, I’m Amanda Parkinson, an Australian sculptor with a passion for bringing imagination to life through clay. My journey as an artist began in 2003, and since then, it has been an incredible adventure filled with creativity, discovery, and personal growth. Sculpting isn’t just something I do—it’s a part of who I am. It has carried me through life’s challenges, offering me a world of escape, fantasy, and boundless expression.
From the moment I first shaped clay with my hands, I knew I had found something special. There’s something deeply satisfying about taking a raw, formless material and transforming it into a figure that feels alive. I never use molds—each of my sculptures is truly one of a kind, crafted with patience and a touch of magic. I fire my pieces in a kiln at high temperatures, ensuring their durability while also giving them a unique character and presence.
My artistic world is one of fantasy and surrealism. I’ve always been drawn to the mysterious and the whimsical, the dreamlike and the otherworldly. My sculptures reflect this fascination, capturing glimpses of an unseen world where creatures, figures, and forms exist beyond the limits of reality. Whether it’s a mystical being, an ethereal figure, or an abstract expression of emotion, each piece tells its own silent story.
Over the years, my art has been more than just a creative outlet—it has been my sanctuary. During difficult times, sculpting has provided me with a sense of purpose and solace. There’s something meditative about working with clay, letting my hands shape the ideas that flow from my mind. It allows me to step away from the noise of the world and immerse myself in a place where anything is possible.
I love sharing my art with others, inviting them to step into the realm I create. I believe that fantasy and imagination are universal languages, capable of connecting people in ways words cannot. My hope is that my sculptures spark a sense of wonder, curiosity, and maybe even a bit of escapism in those who see them.
Thank you for taking a moment to step into my world. I look forward to continuing this journey, creating more stories in clay, and sharing them with you. After all, imagination knows no bounds, and there is always another adventure waiting just beyond the next sculpture.
